Another New Song

NOTICE:
I just got a call from Matt, it looks like he's going to be down south, as his unit has been deployed for the relief efforts.

Just when I thought I had exhausted my ideas for August, I manage to put another song together.

This one has the breathy lyrics and the new artificial guitar.
availible for stream here
(Titled: "The Investment Was Me")

Oh, and I have a job now doing network stuff for the University.
Huzzah!

And now that I have teh f4st0rz internets:

At Long Last

The move-in photos.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At about 11:00 AM last Saturday the truck was filled. (My father insisted on rearranging it at least 3 more times before we actually left)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
He then filled up the truck's gargantuan gas tanks and showed Matt around the quirky intricacies of the truck. To put it lightly, Matt was quite a bit taken back by the vehicle after having driven it around the block.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Now with Nat and I in the truck, Matt's mp3 player hooked up through the cassette/radio of the truck and Eric Prydz's "Call on me" blessing the ancient soundsystem and stale air inside the cabin, we were finally ready to mobilize(tm)!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
But before we went anywhere, I just had to get a picture of the gratuitously prominent place that Matt had stuck the America magnet originally on the back of the vehicle.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
After much unloading, much of my furniture and thingstuffs were (and to a certain degree, still are) strewn about the living room)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This is what the kitchen looks like, it is a very well lit kitchen. I don't know why I took this picture.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Matt points out that even though Aggie Village apartments is an international community, this truck that brought my stuff here is still very, very American

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
When we first entered the apartment, we were greeted by this "What-The-Fuck" of a couch, which I have since had removed.

Finally, I have windows. Big, inefficiently huge, modernist windows. I love them.

And those are the move-in pictures from August 20th.

And this isn't the end of my problems...

So now that I've moved in, as I expected, there is a whole different array of problems I have been needing to deal with.

1. Soon, I may not have to worry about the AIC debt. The question is: am I going to have any credit after August 31st or not?

2. The individual or group of individuals who denied my appeal can jump into a plane engine.
No really, I won't cause it, but I've never been so loathful toward anyone as to actually hope that they die an excruciatingly torturous death.
Now I can really say, I kind-of hope they get their genitals caught up in an electric fence, or any number of other grotesque, or depressing things that could be left up to the imagination.
I'm not looking, but if I ever find out who it is, I will do everything I can (within legal bounds) to defame them.

3. Now I have to make sure my mom doesn't find out about this. I'm going to be working during the school year anyway (to pay off the AIC debt). The remaining amount that is not garnished directly from the paycheck will go straight to CSU for tuition.

4. As if I didn't have enough reasons to be socialist, with my working at least 20 hours a week to pay this stuff, I qualify for FOOD STAMPS. which means I get an amount of money per month for food expenses from the government. I'll definately need it, because there won't be anything left of these paychecks for it.

5. At least I'll have money for books by September 5th. (I hope)

The last few days I've been inexplicably tired and abnormally hungry. Yesterday was a lot better though, and so was today.
I actually ate a normal breakfast because we actually went to the store and got real food.
I now have Mountain Dew again, and the cupboard is FULL of beans. (So many beans, it's scary)
We got salad materials and bread. A huge jar of salsa and Asian-family-sized bag of rice. It's a good thing we both eat alike.

Yesterday, before we went shopping, I ate an entire can of spam. with some tortillas.
I know what spam is made of, and I know how unhealthy it is for you.

I also know that it gives me bad stomach aches (similarly to McDonalds food).
No more spam for me.

I have this blue damage sheet that I have to give to the office still. I've finished it already, I just have been very slow at giving it to them because I keep forgetting it when I leave.

Sorry, no pictures this post. The upload/download software is on my computer, and I can't put it on the computers in the library. I haven't really taken many pictures since the 20th anyways.

Moving day morning

Last night we ate dinner at a really expensive restaurant to see Ryan off. His flight was at 6 this morning. As soon as Matt is done grieving, he's going to come over here with Nat and we will depart for Fort Collins. Today I get to check-in and pick up the key to the apartment. For the first time in over 2 years, I will have windows that actually bring in natural light in my room. For the first time in 2 years, I will be sleeping in a finished room. I can even stretch as far as to say that for the first time in 8 years, my room is above ground.
I am sooooo done with basements.

And I am sooooo done with Broomfield.

If the internet is already hooked up this evening at the apartment, I will post again with pictures from the rest of the day.

Yesterday, I said I would post more pictures, but by the time I got back from Ryan's thing, the internet was fuxored (again) and wouldn't even load Google. The only thing you can do on this connection is wait for it to improve, which usually takes about 5 hours.

Basement as of 8:30 this morning.
A fucking mess, true. Better than it was before though.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
At night, this camera gets terrible shutter speed because it has really bad CCD amplification.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Making use of the really slow shutter speed.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
There is this great picture on Matt's phone of a woman hanging a pair of jeans out the window.
I was there when it happened. It was a riot of the most hillarious order. So he took a picture of it.

Almost done loading the truck. I still have another piece of furniture to load on. Maybe another box. I don't know.

Preparations for departure

Well, as of tomorrow, Broomfield will become significantly less a part of my life. At last. I've been loading up the truck with my stuff and now, more than before, it actually feels more real. There is still a part of me that expects things to fall-through and part of me still anticipates that I will go back up to Fort Collins only to go back into the maddening isolation that is Murphy's house. Into a spidery basement that smells like mildew, where the only TV station my TV can pick up is FOX and UPN. Where you can hear every move the dogs make, as there is no insulation. When you turn on the water anywhere in the house, whatever it is you are doing and whatever concentration you managed to amass is suddenly completely shattered by a flood of de-tuned white noise as the water rushes through the under-sized pipes. This is why I couldn't get much done, studying or otherwise. There is nothing more distracting for me than those damn, loud, old pipes. I hate that house with a passion

.

And now some pictures from the moving, packing an cleaning that's going on today.

For some reason, this truck reminds me of the Gojulas. Although it doesn't really have the same sex appeal as it.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Heaviest freaking piece of furnature I own.
It's supposed to be pressboard, but it weighs
like freakin' OAK or something.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It is an American truck. Clearly, it is white and a truck. What other country could it have possibly come from? Spain? Korea? Guatemala?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This has nothing to do with the moving or anything.
It is just a really funny picture I took yesterday in the car.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This has even less to do with moving.

I'm going to edit this post tonight and add even more pictures.
So just you wait.

Thanks to Eric's family. They were giving this one-quarter-megapixel camera away for free. It's not high-res, but OMFG it's a camera that actually *has* a lens and apperture (As opposed to the pinhole system of that old JL2005A-based camera)

More photos: I'm starting to get used to the way the camera handles exposure and focus.

Patti fills the house with these flying pig things. I guess its some weird inside marital joke between her and Dave. I don't care what it is, pigs make me angry.
I hate them because they are filthy, dirty, ugly animals. That, and they come from farms, and farms are depressing because they are rural and remote. If pigs are capitalist, then bears are communist. Therefore: dinosaurs must be socialist libertarians. (since there aparently aren't many of those anymore.)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And this whole thing just gave me an idea:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It's the UN! During the heat of the cold-war nonetheless.
I suppose this would be about Berlin, or who gets what halves of Germany.
These are the delegates:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Obviously, the Russian *must* be my brother's red-shirted teddy-bear. Because, bears *are* communist.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And if you have bears are communist because of capitalist pigs. Therefore, in this cold-war scenario, it only makes sense for the pig to be American. You know, as in:
American Capitalist Pig! naturally.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And because I said so, Dinosaurs are socialist. Actually, I probably said they were socialist libertarians. Well, we can just forget about the libertarian thing here, this is the cold war, after all. You sort of need a big government to protect you, right?

Okay, I'm finished.

Extremely New Song

I literally finished this about 5 minutes ago!
It's really new, and I figured out how to emulate those classic Germanesque Industrial techno "Creepy Breathy" vocals (Such as that you might find in songs by Neurotic Fish, Seabound or Ministry).
For singing, I would have expected it to sound *outright* terrible. Oh right. This is the first song I'm technically *singing* in.

Get it here
Song title is "Ferrosaur"
it should be the first on the list.

Papayas! Oh, my God THE PAPAYAS!

I need to make those banannas into smoothies before THEY MELT.

I've started packing my things IN BOXES. awesome boxes, that I have turned inside-out and therefore HAVE NOTHING ON THEM!
No unpaid advertising for whatever product was previously shipped in the boxes for me!
Those companies can pay for their OWN advertising. Nyah!

My brother loves Making Fiends now that I've shown it to him. He finds it incredibly funny.

Between the Fiend Making and the Cowboy Beebop and the Zoids. I think I might explode from watching so many cartoons.
And OMFG, watching the entirity of Fiends in one night, then an episode of Beebop, THEN three episodes of Zoids gives you the most FUCKED UP DREAMS EVER. Period.

So Vendetta walks into the class room and calls Charlotte stupid, and hands her a box (as usual) presumably containing some kind of "Fiend" which she hopes will do something horrible to Charlotte (but doesn't ever) THEN, some grungy old crazy guy with blood shot eyes who is obviously toked up on some kind of narcotic bursts through the room with a suitcase leaking money. Charlotte sees this and responds with a "Whee! Money!" and then precedes to sing about it.
"Money... is very green, Money... doesn't have a spleen, Money... buys you things."
Vendetta tells her to shut up and the giant hampster grunts.
Then there are gun shots and the grungy guy blows up with and covers that blue kid in blood. He says, "My Innocence!"
Then Zeke crashes through the wall and Mr. Milk says nervously, "Oh, no... Vendetta... Is... this.. yours... too?"
Vendetta then states, "No, that thing is no fiend. He is cute and cuddly. And not animated in the same style as the rest of my fiends. Stupid person!"
Then Zeke eats all of the clams and liver, causing the blue kid to say, "My Lunch!"
Then the food gets jammed up in his system and he makes a bunch of weird noises shortly before Jet runs in and asks the class, "Excuse me children, but did you see where the crazy dirty guy with the blood-shot eyes, carrying a suitcase full of cash went?"
Charlotte replies cheerfully, "He ran over there and then exploded! Hee hee!"
Jet's face drops and the cigarette but falls from his mouth. He says, "Oh" and puts his pistol away.
Meanwhile Zeke is writhing around on the floor as the liver and clams get more and more jammed up in his parts, as he increasingly regrets having eaten them for totally spontaneus comic relief in the first place. He always knew that one day those spontaneus nonsensical acts of comic relief would come back to bite him in the tail.
"Glarrahhhghhhhkkkk! Glahhhhhaaaaarkkkkk!" He gurgled in tinny, flanged voice.
"Well then, I don't know what's going on here, but it's time for me to leave now.", said Jet, nervously eyeing Zeke.
Finally Something inside Zeke popped and the whole room smelled like burning silicon and plastic. Then he caught fire.
"Well, um... children... um... maybe we should... um... evacuate the uh... room... If that's alright with you, Vendetta?", said Mr. Milk
"Fine then, we shall go outside and watch the school burn down because of that stuuuuupid mechanical dinosaur.", she responded.
The class evacuated and the school burnt down. THE END.

I haven't watched this many cartoons since sophomore year of high school!

DO NOT watch all of these shows consecutively in the same evening. It is bad for your health.

Eeeeee

I just realized that today is August.
Which means I move very soon.
I start moving on the 12th, which is cool.
I move into d'apartment on the 20th
(2 days before school starts)

And if you thought the last bit of "shock material" was giggly/repulsive
then here's a tad more:

I was going to name my desktop computer "Zeek" (in the network settings thing) but then I decided not to because then I might find myself compelled to 'bang' my tower case
